Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Testimony: Having grown up in a typical middle-income family, God was neither acknowledged nor denied. But it was on the Pier at Huntington Beach in 1978 that I was first confronted with the question, “would you like to know who Jesus Christ is”? And like so many other people I answered, “no”. I would love the opportunity to talk with that young hippie today.

God sometimes works in odd ways. A simple comment made by some longhaired hippie on the pier in Huntington Beach, receiving a bible from my sister in 1985, which I did not read, to a patient co-worker at Southern California Edison I became a believer in Jesus Christ.

My walk with the Lord was like most of the other people I knew then, little faith with not a lot of obedience. In 1986 God brought me a Godly woman into my life. I married Bonnie in late 1986 and she literally prayed me into the Kingdom. Though I was saved in 1985, I did not commit myself or my destiny to Gods will for my life until 1989.

In 1990 I was asked to be a Deacon in the church and in April of 2001 I was asked to come on Staff. The following month on May 27, 2001 I was ordained as a pastor at Calvary Chapel Menifee now Revival Christian Fellowship.

It’s true what they say; “God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things”. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” Ephesians 3:20
